If those are the headliners I hope the undercard is as good as it was last year, because 2 of those 3 are giant yawns and 1 is a giant yawn depending on what songs they play.
RAPE STOVE
white power?!
MOdest Mouse headlining one night and MBV headlining another seems dreamy. Throw in some Jawbreaker and I'll jizz.
May 22 - Arctic Monkeys @ Ventura Theatre
June 9 - Devo/Gza @ LANHM
June 19 - Zavala @ Soho

lol. Let me guess Grizzly & YYYs are giant yawns and Modet Mouse is a giant yawn depending on if they play more new material?
I can see them playing Desaparecidos' time from last year. Not headlining though...
ps Hope they get the LocustMaybe the Blood Brothers reunion...

Another once great festival gone to total shit
"why are you so annoying" TheKlein25
co plete, total shit. not a speck of enjoyment to be taken from it
Right? It was so much more awesome when they lost all of their funding and had to cut back from two days to one and put it on last minute at the Echo and Echoplex and security were total dicks and kept people from using the indoor stairs? Right?
(even though, that year was pretty great. Red Fang->Fucked Up->Negative Approach? Thank you very much.)
yeah i just enjoy music, setting has never been a big issue for me
I'm guessing this will rule out the Flaming Lips?

I need to start bothering people for info......I want the Breeders damn it or even better Breeder>Deerhunter>Flag
All three makes sense. No west coast dates for the Breeders, Deerhunter will be touring this summer and Bryan mentioned Flag. I'm sticking with my prediction of Modest Mouse, Explosions in the Sky (playing Osheaga Festival in August/Lollapalooza probably) and Flying Lotus (no LA date yet...).
Explosions was there in 2011. I would think sean wouldn't want to spend that kind of money on a repeat act so soon.

The thing that's tricky with predicting the FYF line up is they seem to pull a lot of bands that will be prominent in the spring/early summer festival circuit for the following year, save a few 2nd tier bands that have been playing all summer.
The question is, are they going to pull more notable acts for the headliner this year? I don't know Grizzly Bear, Modest Mouse, or YYY's price tag, but I would assume that it would probably be more then Refused, M83, or Beirut. If thats the case I could forsee another price jump, but I would be willing to spend a little more if the headliners warranted it. And better headliners might be what it takes to get this festival to sell out like the promoters would want.
I think overall though, they should try to work another angle beyond simply the music. The food last year was atrocious, and having to dump my water bottle every time I exited the alcohol corral sure was obnoxious. Not really experiences that leads to raving reviews. Just some things they could improve on that would improve the overall attendees satisfaction and increase over all positive word of mouth in order to help build hype for the next year.

Hopefully Deerhunter end up headlining with this new album!
Deerhunter/My Bloody Valentine as the two headliners would be too good.

just being a wrinkly penis here, but why do people label it "FYF Fest" when i thought FYF stood for fuck yeah fest?
It does, but the festival wanted to expand and become a reputable festival with sponsors etc, so they couldn't call it Fuck Yeah Fest anymore. Not politically correct to have a curse word in the name. Hence they changed the name to the redundant FYF Fest, pronounced "F Y F Fest".
