So Coachella's Instagram just liked this post I put up from The Presets show this past Saturday where I mentioned Coachella needing to book these guys again. Nowhere near a confirmation but it's a good sign!

Edit: After checking out #coachella it seems that they tend to like almost any picture with that hashtag. I guess it's nothing special.

Really tough call between them and Leftfield back to back. Both were so good. Goddamn, Sunday night closed out so strong that year, with Trentmoller, Ratatat, Leftfield, and then the Presets. Would do again.

Oh goddd leftfield. That was just such a perfect night. I danced so hard. Ahhhh kinda makes me wonder if i should go this year. Well we shall see what the lineup holds.

Yeah, Leftfield was probably my highlight of that night. I remember being a little disappointed by Trentmoller (due more to my probably impossible to meet expectation levels), which had me a little bummed, but Leftfield (who I had really no expectations at all for) made everything all better. Then the the Presets were just incredible, I think partly because the crowd was nuts and so into that set.

i wandered into their set in 2009 after getting bored of watching mccartney. i respect the man and his legacy but after seeing him do his Roscoe P. Coltrane impression during "My Love" i had to bail. anyway i only knew just a couple of presets songs and there was some forum hype on them that year so we checked it out. from what i can tell the tent was full but not packed and the crowd was super fun and waaaaaay into it. man 2009 was such a good year...

to sum up, i hadn't been into dancing at shows for a few years due to blah blah blah. their 2009 set broke my dancing hiatus. in fact it was this in particular...



in 2011 a friend i was with had a minor medical emergency during their set (not drug related ) and i had to bail RIGHT at the epic buildup during "are you the one". i'd been waiting two years to hear that song again on the field and when i finally did i had to run away from it

Pacifica is one of my favorite albums of the year and since they have no plans to play AZ in the near future this needs to happen on the polo fields!

I loved the Presets closing the Mojave in '11... but anyone who chose them over Mccartney in '09 seriously needs to re-evaluate their priorities in life.
Wouldn't mind seeing them again if they aren't conflicting with Blur or Stone Roses.
