I prefer to get all of my info from the Coachella boards. Far more accurate.
Daft Punk Sunday?
What a surprise, the guy likes making a shit load of money!
But that's not the point.

Joel Zimmerman : Troll extraordinaire
I went through a long period of not giving a shit about Deadmau5 but I'm back to loathing him for getting loads of kids who listen to bullshit like Skrillex and Aviici into modulars
I really liked deadmau5 unhooked set at iTunes festival and have always loved his production. I'd give him another shot if you haven't seen him since Coachella 2010
The rise of electronic music in America is great because all these hundreds of thousands of kids going to festivals in Vegas and New York-- wearing furry boots, living the rave dream-- are binge-drinking music. They don't care about quality-- it's about the epic build and formulaic comedown. But five years from now, they're going to stop that, and there's a good chance that 20% of them will stick around and start finding avenues towards Aphex Twin, Kraftwerk and Basic Channel. That's going to be an influx of people who are going to make this music last longer and be relevant.
that's a pretty great perspective, I hadn't thought about it that way before.
Are we taking any guesses as to who is closing out the fest?
Swedish house mafia
Nah they will do Deadmau5 Saturday, SHM Sunday (closer), and Skrillex B2B Avicii
For the record:
I don't think Deadmau5 sucks. At least he brings some talent to mainstream EDM.
I like some of his Progressive shit.
I kinda thought about what Matthew Dear said before, because I remember myself rekindling my interest in EDM back in '07/'08 through Ed Banger shit then shifting to more IDM stuff like BOC, Autechre, Orbital, etc.
I'ma ball at the mall shuttin' down the sea wall
