Default Microbrew Tent--Is this real life?

    From the Stagecoach FAQ

    FULL BARS

Full Bars are located under the peaked tents, to the left as you walk into the festival. You can also get single spirit cocktails in all of the beer areas, as well as a huge variety of beers in the Micro-Brew tent next to the right of the Mane Stage.
God, I hope this will be at Coachella too.

I hope so too, but doesn't Stagecoach have fewer stages, and therefore more free space on the polo fields, than Coachella? Perhaps that is why they can accommodate something like a microbrew tent.

"next to the right of the Mane stage" is already a beer garden. So...maybe there will be a microbrew area in there.

Ah, ok cool! I've actually never bought a beer at any of the eight Coachellas I've been to, but if there is a microbrew tent in 2013 I will undoubtedly break that streak.

I really hope this is true. It's definitely something that Coachella is lacking.

    Heineken is fuckin nasty.

The idea of having a California-based microbrew area makes me want to start saving money for it right now.

Newcastle has been there since 2011 and I thought that there were other options at the full bar.

I didn't know that. I try to spend as little time as possible in the beer gardens and more time watching music.

Usually I buy a beer, pour it in my empty water bottle, put it in my backpack, then go on my way. I also somehow manage to sneak in 3-4 beers everyday.

But if this craft brew thing is true I'll definitely be spending more time and $$ on beer. GV always knows how to suck more money out of me.

They need to have a Guinness tent with a full sized wooden bar and a stage with the Pogues playing.

The bar was in the beer garden near the ferris wheel. I actually heard they had it in 2011 as well, but I never saw it. I assume they'll bring it back again in 2013. Every time I went in that area it was always crowded.

Confirm. In 2011 it was pretty empty for the most part, I'm guessing because it was the first year. Last year, earlier during the day, it wasn't very busy. In the evenings, however, it was packed.

I rarely ever go into the beer garden. Last year I spent an hour or so visiting with some lovely hispanic gentelmen who were locals--their brother was working at the Hein tent and they were feeding me free ones. Never saw craft beer (but who am I to turn down free anythings?)

Heineken is one of those beers you need to be freezing cold, it definitely loses it appeal once it's 50+

Didn't The Big 4 also have a larger selection of beer available? That didn't transfer over and I don't expect this to either.

Yup, AND the Phish fest had beers specially brewed for that event.

They should take a card from APE and set up a beer tasting tent like they had at Outside Lands. It was pricey, but worth it to be able to have a Bruery beer as you watched Jack White.

That's a great idea for people like us, but I don't how well that would do overall at Coachella.

I could just see the bros, "What's an IPA? $10 for a beer? Fuck that bro, let's get a Bud Light."

Even if only 10,000/80,000 supported the microbrews it would be successful, but I suspect the percentage would be much higher than that.
