According to the schedule, the only adjustments to set times were Sunday in the Sahara, which was - again - because of complaints coming from Avicii's camp about being placed against Dre and Snoop weekend one. Everyone else was pushed up 15-25 minutes.

the coachella app updated a few set times on wknd2, there were several acts that went on 10min early, especially in the gobi (st. vincent & airplane boys come to mind). a few sahara acts went on earlier (especially after dark) because more than enough time was allowed for set changes, especially in the sahara. several acts lost vast amounts of the crowd due to long set changes (Datsik went on earlier wknd2). it was largely a guess when set times were scheduled, but after having already done the festival, production teams knew how quick or how long each acts distinct set-ups would take. I don't know of anybody that went on late wknd2, and the only sound problems i noticed were on the band's end, not the stage's (i.e. Greg Ginn & the Royal We). I remember A$AP Rocky trying to go on ten minutes early wknd1 and they stopped him.

Yeah but when Lolla present's their lineup without breaking down the days you can tell who the 6 headliners are pretty easily.

The tiebreaker is who is billed first, ie: left to right if I recall. I had Kanye in my pool for 2011 and got 3 points. I think The Strokes were 1 pt. Also, I doubt anyone had them as a headliner anyway.
