Agreed, especially on the source either fucking around or being mistaken. RHCP headlined this year's Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and will be doing ACL. Yeah, the Black Keys headlined practically every festival this year but they started with Coachella. RHCP would be ending their US festival headlining parade with Coachella. That, on top of the fact that they've already headlined Coachella twice and don't have another new album to promote (unless one is in the pipeline that I'm not privy to because I don't give a shit about following RHCP outside of verifying which US festivals they've headlined this year), just gives me a lot of doubt that they're going to be on the poster come January.
Can someone please remind me which album Dr. Dre was promoting when he headlined earlier this year?
For the thousandth time: Dr. Dre/Snoop were Black Sabbath's replacements.
Best
There shouldn't be any doubt as the weather or not Blur is a headliner. They'll get the sub spot out of kindness and receive a very lukewarm reception while opening for the hard rock band closing out the mainstage.
I'm starting this: PLACEBO FOR 2013.
May 22 - Arctic Monkeys @ Ventura Theatre
June 9 - Devo/Gza @ LANHM
June 19 - Zavala @ Soho
July 31 - Flaming Lips @ Pacific Amp.
August 24,25 - FYF fest - State Historic Park
Sept. 22 - M83 w/ Philharmonic @ Hollywood Bowl
Sept. 12 -GY!BE @ the Fonda
Oct. 17 - Atoms for Peace @ SB Bowl
Actually they played before Kings of Leon in 2011
Ummmm, you're wrong. Black Sabbath was supposed to headline Sunday. Goldenvoice knew about Tony Iommi's cancer diagnosis before the world did. They went and got a replacement 72 hours before line up announcement. So yeah, you know shit.....

Actually, they would... and they did. If they can replace the Beastie Boys days before the festival with Jay-Z with full production, they can do the same here months in advance. I believe an article even cited that Dre/Snoop replaced Sabbath, TBK's tour was booked way in advance.
Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg were Black Sabbath's replacement. End of discussion. Back to 2013 please.
He was talking about All Points West.
