Why are Atoms for Peace a logical headliner choice? It's not only a new album, but it's a debut release. I'm pretty skeptical on The Yeah Yeah Yeahs headlining too

Take it for what you will, but I believe once the debut album from Atoms for Peace drops, it will proceed to blow the fuck up. It would be plain stupid to not book them as either sharing top line or at minimum second line on their day. The idea of Bjork and AFP sharing top line sounds so good.

The Yeah Yeah Yeah's have disappeared for years, and now after years of silence they will be releasing a new album. Do you really think, if this happens before Coachella 2013 they won't be considered to play? I didn't mean 'same for' as in they would headline, just that they would be there in 2013 after releasing new material...and most likely second line at best.

Reuniting? Didnt they play Glastonbury last year? I saw some songs on Palladia from it, and they sounded horrendous.

I think you mean second line at worst for the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. They were third on their day in '09 (second line), there is no way they will drop below that.

Isn't it possible that lineup is announced before they release that album, so would they then blow up because they're good or because of a headlining Coachella billing, which is a scenario I created based off your belief

I saw that too and it was not sounding too great.

If I recall correctly, I had read a review in LA Weekly that at their last show at Club Nokia about a year ago, only five members (at best) had shown up for the show, along with a few members of their entourage/wu-affiliates. Didn't sound exciting.
