The only thing they have to be concerned about is exclusivity and prestige. If a bunch of lineups kill any buzz they had going for their lineup that could affect the brand in the long run.

Dude, no it won't. This is just silly. Nobody even pays attention to Governor's Ball or Wakarusa or whatever nationally, just locals and idiots like us who are desperate for festival rumors. Their brand is not made from the Yeasayers and the XXs of the festival world, it's made from shitting out Dre/Snoop, At the Drive In, Pulp and other random acts that mid-tier festivals don't even have the credentials to ask about.

Agreed. I have a feeling that many of the bands on there will be the slot-fillers at Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lolla, ACL, etc. Lots of groups that will be everywhere this year.

Maybe just the fact that they are doing other festivals? Either way, 2014 is probably more likely. I doubt they're going to start their tour at one of the biggest festivals in the world. Unless they did some warm-up shows, which is always possible. But they've never said a damn thing about US dates.

It would seem plausible that the mystery headliner on the GovBall poster will also be on the Coachella poster, but does what we see under that black bar have any bearing on who it could actually be or did they deliberately do that to fuck with us?

how come no one is speculating Black Sabbath to headline? Iommi is obviously able to play shows now since they're doing Ozzfest Japan

They are in New Zealand for Saturday & Sunday on W2.

I recognise their kudos in rock but I'd be disappointed if Sabbath was a headliner this year.
