Well, how do you know that exactly? Mere speculation isn't grounds for completely dismissing the possibility. I'm not sure why they're so late this year, compared to the last few years. I hope its nothing that attracts a bunch of drooltards. I don't think GV would do that to us (but who knows - money talks).
At this point masses of people will spring for tickets regardless of lineup, so I don't think that will affect demographics.
5/18 Rolling Stones @ Honda Center 5/25 Limp Bizkit @ Observatory 6/3 Sting @ SB Bowl
6/8 Ink-n-Iron @ Queen Mary 6/9 Tom Petty @ Fonda 7/12 Black Flag @ Observatory
7/28 Justin Timberlake/Jay-Z @ Rose Bowl 8/3 Americana Festival @ Verizon Wireless
8/28 Black Sabbath @ Verizon Wireless 9/15 Uproar Festival @ Verizon Wireless
9/28 Depeche Mode @ Staples
In a rebuttal against my own post i believe the mod in here said that it could drop without any warning.
But I think that is silly. They still have the S.S. Coachella line up on the damn home page. Nothing is coming today. When they take that down, I'll get my hopes up.
Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (taking the good with the bad)

That Governor's Ball lineup is really really solid. Nothing too rare or unexpected, but there are so many acts I would see from top to bottom.
Upcoming shows
5/13 Ghostface Killah @ Gramercy
5/16 Kurt Vile & the Violators @ Bowery
5/17 YYYs/the Flaming Lips @ Prospect Park
5/18 Sharon Van Etten/Father John Misty @ Prospect Park
5/18 Liars @ Metropolitan Museum of Art
5/19 Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings/De La Soul @ Prospect Park
5/19 Liars @ LPR
Baseless (and useless) speculation: Coachella's Big Get headliner is also headlining the Gov.'s Ball, but is contractually obligated not to announce additional performances until after the Coachella line-up is released.
I have a friend that works at GoldenVoice here in LA. She sees Paul on a daily basis. Nobody knows when the lineup is coming out. She hasn't heard any chatter about anyone on the lineup. Shit is obviously buttoned up real tight in there.
Patience my anxious fellow board members. Patience.
