offical press release with GV/AEG
A OSL subheadliner topping the bill at Coachella will be roundly mocked. I could see them him second last mainstage before a higher billed EDM headliner. White Stripes would work(Meg last picked up drumsticks in 2007)
If Daft is still wishful thinking, then fans are out to lunch any all 3 headliners. Lets say it's Daft/RHCP. Who on earth is the 3rd headliner, if RHCP is considered the "lame" booking??
People were into the Stones, but worried about it cannibalizing the talent budget.
Maybe 15 minutes, between the B.A.D. set and Empire/Suede sets. Never got into their stuff.
She used the common pronunciation of his last name rather than the one David prefers. I've met people that have worked in record stores for decades that do the same.

Co-promoting is different than it being their own show, with them being in charge of everything, GV were playing more of an advisory role. The guy who is the producer of Coachella was onsite ahead of time, but had left a couple days before APW began the first year. There were some others from the GV offices working the weekend, but they weren't answering to their normal bosses.
Anything else, Bumblebore?

Bumblebee, I was being sarcastic about people panicking a couple pages earlier. I am not privy to any sort of secret information beyond what is available on this thread, but Daft will continue to be wishful thinking until I see their name on a poster.
I'm not too worried about headliners. We've thrown around a lot of names as very likely, but last year everybody was talking about Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Bjork, etc., and then within 24 hours of the announcement/the announcement itself the names were suddenly Black Sabbath, the Black Keys, and Dre/Snoop. I'm going to trust the track record, and know that even if the headliners suck, the Mojave will be going off.
