i heard they planned an intimate club tour prior to their new album release and will announce an arena tour after coachella, just like tool in '06.

I covered Bonnaroo last summer, and I can confirm that fun. played a set that was absolutely fucking jammed. If anyone from Goldenvoice was there they probably saw the same thing and thought, "This is a headlining band."

GV also has a long history of promoting bands up the ranks (Arcade Fire, Killers, Jack Johnson). Last time fun. played the Outdoor midday; now the headlining set they probably deserve.
