Did no one else notice that these were taken at least 21 weeks ago?

Remember when we used to base plausibility of a band playing Coachella on their West Coast tour dates surrounding Coachella that skipped Los Angeles? Now these monkeys are using a tour stop halfway around the world on the weekend of Coachella as a confirmation.

This leads to a bigger question: Are people getting exponentially dumber, or does greater access to the Internet give these shit-for-brains a voice they otherwise wouldn't have had?

I once saw Ratatat, CSS and Tilly and the Wall in London the day before I flew to Coachella. They all played Coachella that year. (2007)

The Killers are going to play in Mexico on april 10, 12 and 13 of 2013 so it's possible that they're going to headline next Coachella.

This year Radiohead played in Mexico on april 17 and 18 and was one of the Coachella's headliner.

In an effort to not piss friends off... let's say it comes down to people feeling the impact of radius clauses...

Neither Mumford & Sons nor Muse are impossible, both are just extremely unlikely. Yes, it is theoretically possible that either or both could be at Coachella this year, but both appear improbable due to their dates. Of the two, I'd say Mumford & Sons are the most likely; if their Euro tour is over on April 11, they could play Coachella (likely Saturday or Sunday) and with no other prohibitive dates scheduled, would have a week layover before weekend two in which to play some West Coast dates.

As for Muse, the fact that they're up and down the East Coast during both weeks makes them more unlikely. I could be wrong, as I know nothing about their current stage set up, but I'd assume the reason they have at least 3 days between each show is at least partially due to their having a complicated and prohibitively large show. Unless they have two stages, one of which could be shipped for Coachella, it might be difficult to maneuver. Knowing that Muse is a band who relies pretty heavily on effects and visuals, I doubt they'd just leave that all at home to come play Coachella.

So of course this could all happen, its just unlikely.

Gotye did SNL and Coachella W1 on back to back nights. Pavement did Primavera and Sasquatch the same weekend and the 2nd gig showed. Some Euro festival swap headliners the same weekend. I think Beatles/Elvis/Sly Stone even performed full shows in dfferent cities the SAME DAY a couple times back in the 60's.

Though the biggest issue for Killers is Brandon's voice. I saw Killers at VFest Vancouver 2007 where they HAD to perform after he walked off stage a couple nights earlier at Red Rocks - 75 minute set trimmed to 45, all hits and Brandon jacked full of meds/steroids with no banter plus him mysterious walking sidestage every couple songs out of view. No way would they want to repeat that.

Killers crew would have 8-9 hours to get their production/lights from it hanging in Mexico to hanging in Indio. It's a nearly 4 hour flight plus customs.
