It's the booking agents not the bands who reply. They do this every year at inforoo and they are usually pretty accurate.

What makes everyone assume that Daft Punk have to play Coachella as the US debut of the new live show? It's hard to imagine at this point having to wait beyond 2014 for a new show, because of a) this Nile Rodgers post b) recent rumblings I've heard regarding the label of the new album, both suggesting that it will be out in the next few months (before summer at the latest). Who's to say they don't do an entire US tour and then Coachella next year, or not at all? Could they sell out multiple shows at Staples/the Bowl/Downtown State Park (where they're doing SHM last shows/do HARD) on their own, instead of doing Coachella? Absolutely.

Do I want Daft on the Main at Coachella? More than anything. Just not holding my breath for 2013, even if an album comes out on March 13th.
