Going off the last 3 EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL years, its possible GV would have a hip hop act headlining one night....will it be 4 in a row? Can't think of many that could do it.
Hip-Hop Headliners:
Eminem
G.O.O.D. Music Compilation
Rick Ross (Maybach Music)
Outkast
Jay and Ye - "Watch the Throne" some people call it (I mean the black keys did back 2back 2011-2012, why not the 2010 headliner + 2011?)
Young Money (it pained me to write that)
Sub headliners/possible hip hop acts:
Wu-Tang Clan
The Diplomats (I can dream)
2 Chainz (solo)
ASAP Rocky
Kendrick Lamar
Chief Keef
Danny Brown
Wakarusa released Phase 1 of their lineup.

Nice to see Allen Stone, RJD2, and Icona Pop on there.
They know what is what, but they don't know what is what, they just strut. What the fuck?
Look guys it's the Hip Hop headliner formula......

Friday: The Stone Roses, Modest Mouse, Johnny Marr, Bassnectar, Japandroids, Beardyman, Jello Biafra, Lee Scratch Perry, Four Tet, Deathfix.
Saturday: Sigur Ros, New Order, Violent Femmes, Puscifer, Moby, Trash Talk, Biffy Clyro, Action Bronson, FOALS, Shovels & Rope.
Sunday: Wu-Tang Clan, Father John Misty, DIIV, Rodriguez, OMD, Roni Size, The Three O'Clock, Dinosaur Jr, Cloud Nothings, Ghost.
First thought: "Oh, weak"
Second thought: "It's like...."
Outkast is the only worthy headliner on that list, to be honest. I liked Jay Z's set when he was headliner, but Kanye was a waste of time. Watch the Throne is pretty garbage. Pretty sure we can all agree on that, more or less. Outkast is the only act on that list who could pull it off without leaving sixty thousand people feeling shit on.
how mad are you guys going to be if they book 2 Chainz?
Okay -
Kanye West w/heavy support from his GOOD MUSIC label. (Big Sean,Common, 2 Chainz, Pusha T)
Lil Wayne w/ heavy support from Drake and Nicki Minaj along with a Hot Boyz and Big Tymers performance.
Rick Ross w......you're right, he can't do it....a 4pm main stage set.
Those first two are headliners. Ross is not. Was just thinking of "biggest names in the game"
I'm going to have to institute a new policy and boycott any festival with Widespread headlining. How many festivals over how many years have these self obsessed jerkoff hasbeens headlined over the years? Gimme a fucking break. Not that I was going to Wakarusa anyway.
He can have the traditional POS time slot then. Nuff said.
