if we are only going by tour dates, i'd say KMFDM is very likely, considering what they're doing for the new tour.. but if they are booked, that tells me gv couldn't get ministry to come back for another round of dates..

If Cloud Nothings play Coachella, it will be the 5th time I have seen them since February. They have been EVERYWHERE.

The good thing (for most of us) is that the vast majority of Coachella goers haven't been blessed enough to be able to have gone to Coachella every single year since the festival started. For a lot of us, 2013 will be our first time, especially since Coachella has increased in popularity over the last couple of festivals and I have a feeling there will be a lot of first-timers in 2013 (EVERYONE knew about Coachella's existence after the hologram thing). In other words, most of us are not whining over "the same shit over and over again" (most people don't even have full knowledge on who's even played before in Coachella's history, save for the past two or three years) because we haven't seen anyone at Coachella in the first place, so anything is pretty much going to be new and exciting.

Just my perspective on things.

There must be a lineup confirmation/rumor hidden somewhere here. Maybe if I read it a couple more times.

The only similarities that stand out are NIN and Phoenix. Just about EVERYBODY in the lineup pool predicted Daft Punk, and a good number of folks had Grizzly Bear and Of Monsters and Men, and more than a couple people had Stone Roses (especially when they got announced for that Australian fest that's a few weeks before Coachella). Knife Party doesn't surprise me, nor does Nicolas Jaar considering his recent tour dates. So no, two selections don't really sum up anything.

Difference is only monklish and supre claim to be the oreeminent source for coachella predictions.

that's the beginning of the tour, it goes around the country and wraps up in Seattle & Portland the week of coachella, we're not still naive enough to think acts that play coachella don't play LA before the fest are we? how many acts this year DIDNT play socal outside chella? the chances of chella tickets still being onsale by march 10th is ridiculous.

Other than the week in between two Coachella weekends, I am pretty sure most acts on the lineup didn't play Southern California in the 2-3 months leading up to the festival or the month following... either that or their Southern California dates were not announced until the Coachella lineup was already released. Radiohead played Santa Barbara on April 12th, but that wasn't announced until after the Coachella lineup was released. I know there are other examples, but I am not sure any of those examples announced those Southern California tour dates before the Coachella lineup was released
