^ I hate to go by Facebook likes, but it does work in a sense. That doesn't always mean they will get the top 'headlining' spot due to being more popular.

Let's just admit that no one would be Yeah Yeah Yeahs considering a potential headliner if they weren't one of the largest bands we're fairly confident will show up on the poster.

This is one of the dumbest fucking statements I've ever seen on the board. You're correct, if you throw a pile of shit on top of a pile of shit, you still have one pile of shit. If you throw a pile of shit on a patch of clean grass instead of on top of the existing pile of shit, you now have two piles of shit you goddamn idiot.

So Britt Daniels of Spoon and Divine Fits (who had a record out this year) did an AMA (AskMeAnything) on Reddit today, and I asked him if I would be seeing Divine Fits at Coachella this year. His response:

I'ma ball at the mall shuttin' down the sea wall
lol Macklemore on the bottom line.
on a more relevant note, since when did this thread become the fake poster thread?
I would be extremely happy if either of these posters turned out to be real.
Yeah, got my tickets back in May, just booked our flights too. Fed up of all the same stuff at UK festivals so thought I'd try something new. If Daft Punk are one of the headliners, I'm not too bothered who the other two are if I'm honest! I meant I'd be happy with the line up as a whole if they were like the posters as there's a lot of acts I'd go see.
I don't know how the Phoenix rumor even got started. It is glaringly apparent to me that they are NOT headliner material. Subhead perhaps. IMO they are at the same level of popularity that MGMT was when they subheadlined in 2010---a few catchy hit singles under their belt, but not enough material or general chutzpah to warrant headliner status. Anyway they come up on my OK Go! Pandora station and all their songs sound the same.
Upcoming shows
5/13 Ghostface Killah @ Gramercy
5/16 Kurt Vile & the Violators @ Bowery
5/17 YYYs/the Flaming Lips @ Prospect Park
5/18 Sharon Van Etten/Father John Misty @ Prospect Park
5/18 Liars @ Metropolitan Museum of Art
5/19 Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings/De La Soul @ Prospect Park
5/19 Liars @ LPR
I think Deadmau5 played 6 nights at Roseland Ballroom (cap 3500) last fall so you're probably right. I can see YYYs playing MSG though on their next tour or they might play couple nights at Radio City (ex: Bon Iver played 4 nights and Vampire Weekend played 3 nights).....
ps It's like 2010 all over again with the probability of VW and Passion Pit being on the line up next year![]()

Glastonbury is next on the list for me. I registered for tickets in 2011 but didn't get them, was off in 2012 for the Olympics and then had booked this by the time 2013 tickets came on sale. Bestival isn't really my scene. Festival wise there's a lot of options but it's more the line up. It's the same recycled acts every second year that seem to appear. My local festival, T In The Park, has The Killers headlining for the 3rd time in 6 years.
Cool story bro.
If you've got hate in your heart, let it out.
can we please stop putting daft punk on every fucking fake poster and then calling it realistic as if theres a chance of it happening?
thx
"Bad data" on songkick, which of course we all knew...

T in the Park is dogshit. As are most UK fests, to be fair. A massive amount of people with no fucking interest in the acts at all, getting pissed and generally being cuntish.
ATP and Bestival are exceptions. Glasto is the biggest cuntfest of all.
