When was the last time that we were this far into the game without a reasonable projection of the identity of at least one of the three headliners? 2008?

Right? Nothing screams 'obvi headliner' this year. Maybe Phoenix with the new album due April; I'm sure we'll find out soon enough when they announce tour dates.

Pretty sure everyone knew Jack J was one of the headliners on '08. The other few were some crazy surprises. Also, I would be stoked if the Chem Bros were on this lineup. I'd see them every year if they played.

I think almost everyone picked Radiohead in the lineup pool. Plenty of wishful optimism, but there was just a ton of anecdotal evidence for them as well. Arcade Fire in 2011. Muse in 2010. Killers in 2009. Apparently Jack Johnson in 2008, though I don't remember the speculation back then.

I dunno know about that....I think the only sure bet in 08 was Portishead actually...everyone expected them there (just as a sub and not the headliner at the time when the original poster was revealed).

Nice, I can't wait to see the new tracks! Wherever he plays the bass/sound system would have to be equal or superior to that of the FYF Fest stage he played at. It was too perfect.
