Yeah, because it's not like exceptions are ever made or business models evolve.

No shit there are going to be exceptions; you don't have to dig very far to find an act that was exempt from the radius clause, but most bands have to sign into that 90 day LA+SB contract. I apologize for speaking in such an absolute previously, but I didn't expect everyone to take it so literally since it was fairly obvious that the radius clause has been revised for "special" acts before.

Not quite, but yeah, they won't be there unfortunately. I'm hoping this changes between now and the lineup announcement, which is possible but unlikely, but if it does, I swear myself to secrecy ;-) but for now, no Iggy, no Stooges, sad indeed because they would be effing incredible to see on the Polo Fields next year :-(

Oh dude - they're my favorite band in the fucking world! I just saw them in San Fran (last year Dec.) and they tore the house down. Please, do me a favor and ask them to make up the date that they cancelled in Vegas last year. The first time I saw them was at Vegoose in 2005 and they changed my life. I see that they're opening for Morrisey in LA but not in Vegas. Let me know, thanks!

It doesn't happen often, but I have to agree with theklein. Local Natives have a show in LA the day after ATE and we consider them to be confirmed. Plus it's a Goldenvoice show.
