2013 Lineup Confirmation/Rumors Thread

Killers are Fri/Sat in Mexico City which would mean they will travel with minimal production beyond instruments. Screens/lights/lasers would have to be at Indio while the band is still in Mexico as that has to be hung/tested before doors open at 11 am. Killers have let themselves be 2nd billed at other festivals.

i tried to find one yesterday just to justify them subheadlining, but couldn't.. could u enlighten us?

(personally, i think the killers aren't as relevant as they used to be..then again, they just headlined KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas, not that it means much)

Kanye made more sense as a sole headliner than Daft but they made him share the top line.

Plus Daft would be the first EDM act to be top billed at a mainstream music festival in the US. Killers placate the non-EDM fans plus the band can still be a top billed rock act with egos in check.

I'll explain my reasoning, pinky:
~I don't want to fly across the US to see bands that will probably play other US festivals that are closer to me (The Killers, Muse, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Jack White, Mumford and Sons, Green Day, etc)
~It's not top heavy and it allows for the most solid undercards that you can imagine. I don't think Daft Punk is happening, but if they are...they should take the SHM slot and not be a headliner.
~David Bowie, Macca, Prince, or Roger Waters would be great, but I used the word REALISTIC in my statement. All of those are unrealistic...Bowie is impossible.
~based on your post history, not only are you a fan of The Killers, but also Linkin Park and Green Day. Your opinion is irrelevant. Kill yourself.

We are going to go to Paris in February and the West Coast of the States in the spring. And then we could go to South Central.

I like Bjork and all, but the only artist that I would book a flight to NYC just to see is Bowie. Your comparison between flying to see just Bjork in NYC and flying to the most heavily stacked US festival where she might be one of the headliners is amusing though.

by your 'definition', are there ANY fests in the US that you would call 'mainstream' other than Coachella or Bonnaroo?

because obviously, Lollapalooza doesn't count to u.

or EDC, or Ultra, or Vegoose, or BM or Sasquatch..

Festivals with daily attendance way over 65,000 like years with the big 4 - Roo, ACL, Chella and Lolla. you don't headline a major festival with Ben Harper.
