I'm hoping it's not true and they come back a few years later.

Well, all this contradicts what my friend at Capital Records told me: Friday - Dexys Midnight Runners performing Searching for the Young Soul Rebels. Saturday - Dexys Midnight Runners performing Too-Rye-Ay. Sunday - Dexys Midnight Runners performing One Day I'm Going to Soar.
Sounds better than the Killers - Muse - RHCP combo

RHCP were signed on a year ago? That's doing too much.
Only a soulless ginger would try and sell some bullshit like that.
Daft Punk The Rolling Stones Outkast
Grizzly Bear Sigur Ros Jack White Beck
Portishead Devendra Banhart The XX Yeasayer RUN DMC

You know, I don't know if you're joking, but this could be as valid as any other suggestion. Still to this day I think that Prince refused to be listed half-way down the 2008 poster. It is rather intriguing how 2008 had the same exact format as any other year, but as soon as he got added, they suddenly switched to a weird "single-event" kind of layout with his name listed as the very first one.

I heard the exact rumor at Coachella this year about RHCP already being signed a year out...and this was coming from someone who managed a few of the bands who played this year, so um yeah...
Well, fuck. So RHCP then. That day better have a strong undercard.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's totally incorrect. I remember waiting for that poster to come out in the chat room that year, Paul was announcing it live on some radio something, and it came out all as one big poster first with just Jack, Portishead, and Roger.
Look, anybody who expects all three headliners to be something they like are assholes.
