every year i have friends who are new to coachella asking me, "hey when does the lineup come out?!?" I always tell them, "usually around MLK holiday." this year is no different. I think late monday night leak on the boards, tuesday morning announcement. IIRC they have done it exactly that way a couple times. Last year was the earliest we will ever see a lineup.

I hate how many people ask me "whens the lineup coming out" because it's always followed up with "ok so then when do tickets go on sale" and "how much do tickets cost" and "whose the rap headliner this year".

So Boris is releasing like three albums next month. Will they be this year's token metal band? They are long overdue IMO.

LONG overdue. And they do fantastic festival sets. I've seen them at 2 ATPs where they did specialized shows and really took it next level, and when they played Pitchfork they played their most accessible heavy stuff. I would love to see Boris on the lineup.
