Really surprised at the Animal Collective '11 hate here. I'm wasn't fan of theirs, even saw them once in '04 and didn't much care for the show, but I thought their set at Coachella was magnificent. There was this sense of psychedelia and danger that really gave the night something special. Dunno, I liked it.

Although it may not be a credible source, my friends dad(who has worked in the music biz all his life) said that his "GV inside guy" told him Rolling Stones are definitely headlining. When I pressed for more info he said thats all he could tell me. So... nothing concrete but still thought i'd share.

every january, i revisit this forum. i don't want to get caught up in the shenanigans, but i ultimately do.
regardless of who is confirmed, or playing when the line-up is announced for that matter, i'm going to attend. granted, i don't have tickets yet, but i want to go to the second weekend again this year. i'll be damned if i break my "every year" streak this year.

...And this is why I hope Macklemore is NOT playing Coachella this year. I used to be a HUGE fan of his before The Heist ever released. Now everyone just knows him for "Thrist Shop" and nothing else. I just saw him in December and that was literally the only song the audience knew.
