I'd absolutely watch Oasis over Justin Timberlake.
12/31: Derek Plaslaiko, Dave Aju @ f8
1/8: Tamaryn @ The Chapel
1/28: Beacon @ The Rickshaw Stop
1/29: Ty Segall, Wand, Cold Beat @ GAMH
2/7: Robag Whrume, Daniel Bell, Sassmouth, The Black Madonna @ Public Works
2/14: Sparks @ Ace Theater Hollywood
Yeah I don't get that. Suit yourself, but a 90s Oasis throwback would be boring as hell for me.
Hope JT plays that McDonalds song
Do you guys just want timberlake there so that when you look back on it in 6 months you all can all be in the minority and say his set sucked?
klein, go listen to FutureSex
When did this become the JT thread?
I'm down for JT and Marcus Mumford doing folk music.
bmack right again (about dismissing genres as a whole). I'm gonna make a bmack shirt with a big brain on it or something. Apparently I have to listen to some Timberlake today because i've never paid much attention to him.
Why not go full blown conspiracy theory at this point. From right after last year's festival...
When finaaalllly you get to lovee someeebodddyyy guesss what?
It's gonna be me!
Its like the Infinite Monkey Theorem, if you put X amount of monkeys in a room with a typewriter and ask them to give you Shakespeare 99% of them will fling their shit at you while the other 1% will masturbate in the corner.
I will make the assertion that JT's biggest haters barely listened to his music because of a deeper lack of confidence or comfort in their sexuality and associate him with NSYNC and boy band fodder. They could never escape the fear of being judged by the jocks or other people for the acceptance of JT's music and somewhat metro appeal.
As empirical evidence I submit theklein. A man clearly still steered by his high schools tastes, fears, and faux pas.
