well, i was speculating that it could drop january 8th (tuesday) because the YYY's are playing that show at the Glasshouse in pamona that friday the 11th. Last year i believe it was at 5pm if im not mistaken.

Looking at previous years of announcement, seemed that it was closer to the 3rd/4th week of jan around 19th and before that 30th so seems with it being the 9th for last years we'll say lineup it came forward.

Maybe 14th/15th with a 7th/8th if we're lucky?

They usually post a little announcement a week before releasing the lineup saying "Next Week". That's as much as we get as far as hints.

They release the lineup via Morse code a week before the poster comes out. Only those able to decipher it know what the lineup is at the time.

You will hear all sorts of different people with their theories between now and then. Last year, the year before, etc, has absolutely nothing to do with when the lineup will drop this time around.

While this is mostly true, the trend I have noticed is that the lineup comes out a little earlier each year. That probably has to do with the fact that the festival is starting earlier and earlier each year too.

Nope. The pre-sale password for Coachella tickets was "Roxanne" because there was so much buzz about them being there. People kept on saying they would be a late add due to the password.

i thought the rumors started with that, but the buzz about them being a late add were due to "the gap" on Friday..

i've seen Deadmau5 a half dozen times, it's hardly a 'get' for GV, but he will sell tickets...


to be fair, his solo shows the last year or two have gotten much, much better..fest sets seem about the same as usual though

AlunaGeorge is finishing up their European tour at the end of February...definitely file this one under the speculation tab, but, I'd love to see what they can bring to a tent early on a Friday afternoon.

Debut album later in the year, and Coachella would be a prime opportunity to reach an American fanbase. I believe they've never played shows in the US yet

Deadmau5 said he was done with festivals (this was awhile ago, though), and the fact that he's playing Ultra shows he could be a possibility for Coachella. Nobody cares if you don't like him, so you don't have to cry to the thread every time the discussion is about something you don't like.

that's funny, because i'm pretty sure Kendrick debuted "The Recipe" at Paid Dues 2012, and played it with Dre at....Coachella??? your reasoning doesn't make sense
