But both artists/shows are/were very strong possibilities for headliners, AND THEN A 3RD DATE WAS ADDED

I would also sorta hope for the Flaming Lips to NOT be at Coachella. They're STILL performing pretty much the same exact show they did in 2004 (just + 10/11 songs).

Because it's the SAME EXACT show...bubble, rainbows, and all. Just add in some newer songs (off their more crappy newer albums)....granted I like the Flaming Lips (mostly Soft Bulletin and everything prior), but their recent sets (meaning everything in the last 8 years) hasn't been all that great.
