i saw these guys on Letterman Thursday night & thought they would be a likely candidate for 2013, they have been supporting The Who on the NA tour this year & are playing the Roxy on NYE this year, big breakout year predicted for 2013. thoughts?

i'd take it with a grain of salt. i found an article via google search about massive attack being confirmed to play coachella 2010. granted the article was from a montana news station or something, but still.

Met Skrillex last month, asked if he's playing, "IDK, I've been taking time to make some new music."
Met No Doubt, they're definately not playing, although they apparently we're planning to in 2012 but pulled out after their new album's release date was pushed back.
Met The Faint, they're playing which means Conor Oberst will likely be there with one of his projects, most likely Desaparecidos as they are working on a new album.
I think Converge will be next years hardcore band.
Also, I'm guessing Silversun Pickups due to their festival show in mexico.
The Melvins are on my withlist, as well as Primus and Cake, bands that make sense.

Let's say you're right and The Faint are playing... Which, to be fair, I could see as possible...

It doesn't automatically follow that Oberst is playing... sure he was a member of the band... 17 years ago, before they really did anything of note...
