I miss seeing the M83 dates, personally.
I miss seeing the M83 dates, personally.
Hey, here's a fun exercise. Give this problem to a class full of 10-year olds:
Company X finished Job Y on April 5th, 2012. Job Y took several months of planning and four months of work to complete. When did they start Job Y?
A. January 5th, 2012
B. October 5th, 2011
You know how you figure out who the only 2 fucking retards in the class are that need a helmet and bib for the rest of their lives?
THE DUMBFUCKS WHO ANSWER A.
You math-deficient dipshits go ahead and keep fucking that chicken.
Save your lack of reading comprehension for someone who didn't score 99th percentile SAT and go on to take engineering-track calculus at an Ivy League university, Ernie Anastos.
I'm telling you for a fact that Coachella's 2013 headliners were all booked as of no later than September of this year, and that at least one was booked over a year ago. Guy on the previous page is telling you, apparently for a fact, that TBK were booked in June 2011. You figuring out yet why Dre only got started with the real work on his stoned HoloPac vision in December '11/January '12?
Just go buttfuck each other and be done with it. Too much sexual tension in here.
Austra - Colin Stetson - Skyline Electric - The Pacific Rim Projekt - The National - Goat Rodeo - Hopscotch 2013- Body/Head - GY!BE - Beirut/Vampire Weekend - Tim Hecker
You're telling me your "Ivy League" education neither taught you the definition of the word "and" nor taught you to count to four? May want to consider asking for a refund there champ. And appealing to authority on a fucking anonymous message board is the height of stupidity. But hey, it's IVY LEAGUE stupidity.
We'll find out in a month.I'm telling you for a fact that Coachella's 2013 headliners were all booked as of no later than September of this year, and that at least one was booked over a year ago.
Had he said that in June 2011, I'd have cared.Guy on the previous page is telling you, apparently for a fact, that TBK were booked in June 2011.
Sure. Because he didn't.You figuring out yet why Dre only got started with the real work on his stoned HoloPac vision in December '11/January '12?

So yall think that phoenix can headline over the yeah yeah yeahs? Thats interesting. lets discuss it some more.
by the way, I'm pretty sure that this is the 2013 confirmation and rumors thread assholes. So let's move on to more relevant discussions, yes?
I'll take notes at almost acoustic Christmas and ask each band via megaphone from the crowd. Then I'll let you all know right here.
Maynard did TOOL/Puscifer the same weekend at the same festival 5-6 months ago. Since 2004, Maynard has NEVER toured in the middle 3 weeks of April because of his winery has some crucial harvesting step where the owner must be present. All of MJK's 3 bands have played single shows or tiny runs of shows that seem to be random.

The Keys played Coachella during a month long break.

Weren't there lots of strong Radiohead rumours at various press outlets before this? I thought the Glastonbury Surprise gig was a dry run on deciding if the material works in big outdoor places. Obviously GV weren't going to do 2 weekends without some headliner strength.
So Dre went from planning a tour, to only being onstage for 25 minutes and never leaving the SoCal area?
Wasn't Snoop booked to play in Eastern Europe the Friday of Weekend 1 around the time the Coachella lineup dropped?
Can we at least go back to the Muse/Killers bullshit that was being discussed earlier? That was at least enjoyable. Also what happened to the No Doubt rumors? Did I miss something?
Passion Pit was great at Wrex the Halls and so was M83. I left before The Killers so I could go see Adventure Club.
They know what is what, but they don't know what is what, they just strut. What the fuck?

While you guys were arguing over inconsequential things...
Trent Reznor may have just released a new video from his current project How To Destroy Angels, but in a recent interview he said that Nine Inch Nails have new music in the works and added that it’s a “possibility” that we could see the iconic industrial act performing live again in the future.
.
When asked if there would be some new NIN tunes in the horizon, Reznor told Rolling Stone, “All signs point to yes,” adding, “Yeah, there will be new music. There are some things in the works.” Reznor also suggested that the band could hit the road for the first time since their 20th anniversary farewell tour back in 2009.
.
“If it feels right, it’s a possibility,” he explained. “I never said that that wasn’t going to happen, just that it couldn’t go on as it was. Having a few years doing other things, I’ve enjoyed [them] and I’m enjoying doing How to Destroy Angels, and there will be a place for stuff that falls in the Nine Inch Nails column of things. It’s a different kind of work.”

When Phoenix last toured here, they headlined MSG (20K capacity, with Dirty Projectors and Wavves), the Hollywood Bowl (18K, with Grizzly Bear and Girls), Agganis Arena in Boston (7200), and Koka Booth Amphitheatre in NC (7K). To my knowledge, YYYs have never headlined a US venue larger than Lifestyle Communities Pavilion in Columbus (6700 capacity, but only 2200 inside). YYYs may have gotten "big" first, but Phoenix quickly became a bigger act in 2010. Today, both are subheadliners, but Phoenix' pop appeal shows more potential to headline, and I'd bet they'd be closer to the top on a poster.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are going to headline Neon Desert Music Festival, which is nothing compared to Coachella. Not saying they won't play Chella but they won't be a headliner...definitly won't headline.
YYY's and Phoenix are both sub material for this festival, period.
Can we talk about something worth discussing please
Coachella 08, 09, 10, 11, 12 (1 & 2), 13
Street Scene 08, 09 RIP.
Lollapalooz 09
Outside Lands 10, 12
Sasquatch 11
They sold out a 2,700 hundred theater in Vancouver in 2006.....then never returned. They "headlined" Lolla in 2009 post-Beasties. They were also the "afternoon headliner" at Bumbershoot 2009 with 10k at the Stadium.
YYYs wont ever raise above sub at Coachella.
Phoenix is a very strong sub and weak headliner. Surprised that some "want" them to waste a headliner spot.
Jay Z Linkin Park Collision Course
