With that said, whoever crafted this fake lineup did a really great job. For one, they paid close attention to our Festival Outlook and included rumored and logical acts like Atoms for Peace, Local Natives, Passion Pit, Sigur Rós, Tegan and Sara, and the Wu-Tang Clang alongside already confirmed EDM heavyweights Kill the Noise and Paul Kalkbrenner.

it indicates they are touring festivals next year. They have indicated a US tour, but not have revealed those dates yet. They have new material, their 2nd of new material in the past 3 years... hardly a "has-been" act. It's just speculation considering fellow Seattle rockers Soundgarden & Pearl Jam have been rumored.

Muse and The Killers headlining Coachella in the same year would be the greatest thing to happen to the festival. Think about all the KROQ endorsements they could receive and there'd be more desire among the younger audience to attend.

I'm probably what you'd consider to be part of the "younger audience", and there is absolutely nothing about The Killers or Muse that appeals to me as potential headliners. Just the thought of it happening is pretty unnerving.

The festival is going to sell out regardless of what's on that poster come January. They don't need to lure any sort of demographic to make it happen at this point.
