I would love for my husband and I to go as Commander Straker and Lt. Ellis. I think it would be hilarious. His costume would be reasonably easy to acquire (Nehru suits can be found on Ebay). Purple wig is easy, but I have no idea where to find a silver unitard for the base of my outfit (I've looked). Biggest obstacle would be that 99.99% of the population would not get it, and that kinda takes the fun out of it. :/

People might mistake you for the robot that fell in love with Cody in the Disney's "Suite Life on Deck." So, maybe 5% of the peeps will have some reference. That seems like a worthy percentage to pursue such a cool costume.

HTD, i think the female costume is interesting enough that people will probably guess you're something space related at least. and why go unitard if you don't have to? you've got the undersuit that looks almost striped, but if you do some sort of silver cover-up similar to what the picture has you could do a top and bottom separate. only downside is making them match i guess. search dance sites specifically and maybe consider dye.

and euphonic, the wire mesh is a good idea. i'm still really wanting to use my hair, but wire mesh to shape the horns and attach the hair (and probably something else underneath; paper mache maybe). thank you!!!

i'm not really a black leather kinda gal so i think i'll look different than julie. i think whatever i do with the robes, i want to add some lights underneath the fabric so it looks glowing; kinda like when she stretches out her arms. also i could do a pinkish/purple bodysuit since she seems to have something tight-wristed under her robes.

i have lots of thoughts. but energy to do anything about it. LAME.

i also have some old as fuck white sugar brand mary jane style shoes with big red toes and red straps. i could do my hair in ear-like buns. and get whiskers. and paint my mouth white so i look like i have no mouth like hello kitty. i could get some white tights and i already have a tu-tu for the skirt. i think i may be sold on this idea.

my friend and i were discussing costume ideas yesterday... He and his wife are going as WWII airplanes.. He will be the P38 Mustang (American) and his wife who is Korean is going to be the Komakazee fighter... brilliant

So I ended up already using my halloween costume idea for the Superhero Street Fair and don't want to do it again. I however got this great metallic purple latex/spandex catsuit(covers my hair but not my face) and am itching to use it somehow. Any suggestions? Its close to this but darker purple.
