All Tomorrow's Parties: Cancel the cancellation of all future ATPs at Camber Sands

Because the ATP weekenders are a magical respite from the world. An indie/rock/hardcore/electronica sponsorship-free utopia by the sea for a precious few days and there is no equivalent in any other festival experience.
In a packed British festival scene where the emphasis is now on brand and consumerism, ATP always represented a last bastion of quality, community and creativity. Like the best festivals of yesteryear we always felt we were part of something special when we attended an ATP event - a small, manageable gathering of like-minded people that loved the music first and foremost. The fact ATP weekenders were always held in traditional holiday camps added to its perfection - safe, self-contained and all the bands easy to reach, it was like going to your favourite gig six times a day. We got to see some of the most dynamic, revered and creative punk, indie and electronica bands that have ever been in existence, and we want to see more. There was nothing like ATP, and there won't be when it finishes. Both for music, and the people who love music, ATP is still important and we don't want it to end.

Well at least he announced it instead of sending a doppelganger...
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
Mogwai to be final band to play

Weekend 2 running from November 29th-December 1st is curated by ATP and LOOP. Hailing from South London, Loop released three mindblowing albums in the late 1980s highlighted by 1990's A Gilded Eternity. Reviewing their recently reissue discography, The Quietus wrote "These were stars that burned and shone with an intense brightness, and it's testament to Loop's vision and delivery that the mark they made is indelible." ATP are very pleased to reunite Loop for this event and also to ask them to collaborate with us on choosing the line-up of the very last ATP Holiday Camp festival.
Today we can confirm that Mogwai (the headliners of the first ever ATP festival in 2000) will play the closing set of this final holiday camp festival. Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai:
“It’s an incredible honour to be asked to close the final ATP holiday camp festival. We couldn't have imagined when we curated in 13 years ago that the festival would have had the impact that it’s had. Back then festivals were moving further to the mainstream and I think the continued strength of underground music in the UK owes a big debt to the work done by ATP. I think getting to play with Loop, musical heroes of ours will be a fitting way for us to close this event.”
They are joined by other new additions - Balam Acab, White Fence, Ty Segall, Föllakzoid, Wolf People, Civil Civic, Tall Firs, Dawn Hunger, Kandodo, New War and DJ Jonathan Toubin.
So far for this weekend the line-up looks like this:
