I really want to take the ATP concept and apply it toward electronic music. I love all these parties, even if i dont recognize half the acts. Such a swell idea.

That's exactly what Bangface Weekender is. It's been going on for years. Same concept, tickets come with rooms on the site of the holiday resort. Lots of Warp and Rephlex artists.

It's probably the most esoteric ATP lineup I've seen. And could have been the most fun. I bet it barely sold at all though.

I'm considering the Deerhunter one since I know a bunch of Primavera people that are going and the location and experience sound brilliant.

At first glance, Pere Ubu seems like a great grab. But is it going to be an incarnation of the band that is sufficient? Otherwise, meh to both of those lineups thus far.

IIRC the last one they tried to do got shut down mid-festival due to overcrowding and some other stuff and they shut down the company immediately after that

It sucks I can't afford ATP: Deerhunter espiecally now Pere Ubu being on the lineup.I still would go just for the three sets of Deerhunter.I am going try to start saving up for Nightmare before Xmas 2013 though.

Pere Ubu have always been pretty great when I've seen them, but they do tour the US from time to time if you keep your eye for them. I've seen them do a regular set, a live score to an old Roger Corman flick, and a double set (on my birthday no less!), one where David Thomas acted out a play or some shit, and the second was a The Modern Dance DLB type set, with Thomas just barely holding it together to get through the whole album before have a bit of a freakout, as he is prone to do.

And yeah, I agree. Not bad lineups, but nothing to be insanely jealous of either.
