Because his stand-up is hilarious. He's not really an actor, and I thought most of the sketches last night were half-assed.

I also thought the cold open sucked, for the most part. Making fun of the sign-language interpreter wasn't that funny to me. People thought she was "overly expressive," but she was just doing her job utilizing proper ASL grammar. The whole phenomenon surrounding her just displays the complete ignorance people have when it comes to sign language. There was really no punchline to be had there.

i didn't follow the "phenomenon" of the sign-language interpreter so i didn't take the sketch as as much of a parody as you perhaps. i like new girl that played her (cecily strong) and i liked armisen's bloomberg and bobby moynihan as chris christie.

The last few Christmas episodes have been good. They're some of the only ones I can watch from start to finish. Jimmy Fallon hosted last years and did a really good job. Sudekis as Jesus coming to visit Tebow was fun.

Yes, dumb question.
And for whatever reason, they cut out the monologue on some eps on Hulu. Sometimes even the 2nd song the music guest performs.

If you haven't seen the Joseph Gordon Levitt monologue elsewhere, you should cause it's hawt n lulzy n stuff.

They do but it seems like everyone except Louie CK did a song instead of a monologue this year. This years monologues have continued the trend of being the weakest part of the show.
