This is definitely a beast of a song. There is absolutely no way of sitting still during this song. I listen to it and listen to it loud! Actually, I can feel the band's energy through my entire body with this one, from the very first note. Lookout!

You're so wrong, man! "Under My Thumb" is simply awesome and a contender for one of the greatest songs of all time. It fuses sweet psychodelic rythm with a funky rocking beat. Listen to it again, by yourself, at extremly high volumes and shake your hips!

It is awesome, yes. It is a great song. But we are talking degrees here. Degrees of Awesomeness. It is greater than exactly four songs on the original list: Time is on my Side, Street Fighting Man, Ruby Tuesday, and and Get Off My Cloud. It may in fact be on a par with -- as great as -- Honky Tonk Women. But it is not quite as fucking amazingly awesome as Jumpin Jack Flash, Satisfaction, Sympathy for the Devil, or Paint It Black. These are scientific facts.
