The 4 are, "Satisfaction", "Paint It Black", "Jumpin Jack Flash", and "Sympathy for the Devil". I voted for Sympathy for the Devil. Pleased to meet you, hope you guess my name.

I have a personal affection for "You Can't Always Get What You Want," but I would feel pretty solid voting for either "Jumping Jack Flash" or "Sympathy for the Devil" from this list.

It came down to "You Can't Always Get What You Want," "Sympathy for the Devil," and "other" for the last two choices. There's no correct way of handling that.

So the best song wasn't a single. Who would not have put Gimme Shelter out as a single when you had a song that strong?

Of those four I go Jumping Jack Flash. I love that riff so much, even though the solo on Sympathy is incredible.

It's almost damn near impossible to sit still during this song. I've gotta shake!

Agreed. Between the intro guitar weave, Mary Clayton, and the loose-but-tight way the song hangs together throughout, it's a fucking masterpiece. One of many.

BUT IT WASN'T A SINGLE SO DEAL WITH IT BRYAN.

Alright, since there's a legit reason for "Gimme Shelter" not being included, I'll give it to "Sympathy For The Devil."

I don't think "Tumbling Dice" is in the ABKCO era? If so, i'd vote that.

Mitch's link lists all the RS albums.

By "ABKCO-era" I thought Mitch basically meant singles that showed up on one of the Hot Rocks compilations. Since the Stones' actual record label in the 60s was Decca and/or London

Essentially, yes, the '60s, pre-Rolling Stones Records stuff. More this than Hot Rocks, but I guess neither of those comps is actually spot-on because they include singles from Sticky Fingers at the end.

I forget that for these early albums, ABKCO and Virgin weren't the original labels.
