I think so, shit I wouldn't doubt coachellla sells out without announcing headliners a week before the fest. People are buying tickets for 2 weekends 7 months before the lineup is even out. But you're probably right these guys most likely wont headline Im sure crowd favs like Foo Fighters, Coldplay and Daft Punk will headline.

On the topic: Why? Are you only allowed to see an awesome band once and then its a ruined experience after that? Despite all the music out there, there is only so much that a large population can agree upon.


Obligatory tangent on DP: I was one of many LONGTIME fans who were maybe too young to see ALIVE 97 (12 then), I couldn't stop talking about DP once I saw them on the line up and I'm sure there were tons of people like myself who dragged their friends to DP on that fateful night. From then on, my friends thought I was cool. Now I get LED handjobs. Its like the Hamburger Helper is suckin me off.

I guess I'm out of touch. I had no idea Incubus sells out stadiums or that RHCP were still relevant. I would just think a band like Wilco with a big die-hard following and 2 of the best albums from the 00's could fill the headline depending on strength of the other top bands. Hey maybe Jack Johnson or the Killers are available again.
