    Thanks to boardie, Fourthisto for (unwittingly) creating one of the best running music mixes last July (as part of the board exchange) which helped me train on boring treadmills all winter and crank out the miles for this one today.     I need a reason to keep fit after Coachella. In the past I have let my fitness go by the wayside after the big weekend.
    I bet I could train for a half marathon but I'm not so sure about killing my feet and knees all the time.
    I wish I liked running more but it is one of my least favorite physical activities.
    I have great respect for those who do it all the time, though.

    I had a terrible weekend! Two birthday parties. One for 3yo grandson, then another for my BF. I made him this crazy fattening peanut butter chocolate cake from Bon Appetite. Totally delicious, but still a lot leftover. I tried to send it home with his kids, but he wouldn't let me

    On a sidenote, I'm angry at myself for the decisions I made this weekend regarding food and drinks. I didnt exercise yesterday because I've been on a buddy system, and mine flaked yesterday, and I used that as an excuse not to workout myself. Fuck this shit.

    I've been cruising along on this cut, getting leaner and leaner...but damn I forgot how much a calorie restriction can crush stamina. I knew I was in for trouble when I was getting winded warming up taking shots before playing pick up. Good thing I'm not coaching right now, high schoolers would run me out of the gym.

    I was a little worried about my weekly weigh in this week since it doesn't feel like I've lost much more, but I've dropped another 4 pounds in a couple weeks. That means I'm 1 pound away from my bonus goal!
    According to the Map My Fitness app, I've walked 40 miles this past week on top of my regular workouts, so that seems to be the thing for me to keep doing.

    I've been allowing myself a "cheat day" where I can eat whatever I want & however much I want once a week, and today's the day.
    A powdered donut, pizza, Fatburger, and ice cream are on the menu today. Thankfully my stomach is smaller now so I can't gorge like I used to.

    I used to live for cheat days, but now I can't afford it. once I get passed a certain point that's something I'd like to be able to revisit!!

    That is great! good job! Enjoy your cheat day! I save my cheat meal for the weekend since its easier to stay on track during the week.

    I reached my April goal, I am down 24lbs! I set a bonus goal to lose another 6lbs by coachella! I think I can pull it off!

    My boss asked me if I am losing weight today! First sign that my working my ass off for the past couple months is starting to show. I told her I am getting into "Coachella Shape" and she looked at me strange and walked away. I smiled!

    I now have even more motivation to keep up the somewhat heavy workout routine I have going on now. Only 17 days left and I will be ready to rock some short shorts!

    Too late...but yes, it is healthy to continue working out til April 10th. Make sure you stretch A LOT in those days leading up,though.

    This depends on how good of shape you're in. Some people might be able to workout the morning of the festival and be fine for the weekend. You know you're body better than anyone, just do what works for you. If you're generally sore for a few days after working out then definitely don't do it after the 10th. But you should be fine working out up until the 10th for sure.

    I definitely wont be doing any strength training on Wednesday but Ill be doing cardio up until the 11th. I would do cardio on Thursday too, but we are leaving at 5am and even with as much determination as I have right now, I just don't think I can get up to work out at 3am.

    Have any of you heard of The Lyn-Genet Plan?

    It's an elimination diet to determine which foods are reactive for you and make you gain weight.

    The first two weeks, I lost a pound a day. The key is to consume the right amount of water and protein and fat along with the daily meal plans. The first three days is a food cleanse, and then it's pretty normal food.

    I've never felt better and highly recommend it.

    I certainly don't know the ins and outs of this diet, and you know your body better than I do, but a pound a day does not seem right. A pound of fat is equivalent to ~3500 calories. 14 pounds of fat (or anything close to that) in 14 days definitely isn't doable. Not trying to hate or rain on your parade, just tossing in my two cents. Do you, but be careful.
