RIP. Just checked out The City and the Pillar from the library the other day. Loved what little of his writing I read. Especially the batshit crazy Myra Breckinridge which was made into an even more ridiculous film with Raquel Welch playing a post-op transsexual sociopath. And The Best Man was a wonderful political satire. I think it's back on Broadway now.
