Well I said I would go if orbital, digweed and Royksopp were all on the same day without conflicts. How bad are the crowds at these events? I've been to tons of events, but never an insomniac one. I'm guessing it will be fine away from the main stage.

Didn't you just see Umek at EDC? And at EDC last year? I'm sure he'll be back 100 times before Orbital comes back. How is this even an issue?

    Heya!
Loved coachella, attended identity fest (was great)... Considering Nocturnal Wonderland.
LOVE EDM... Problem is, I'm in my early 40's. : / But would love to see this event one
    time. Too old to attend?
    Thanks

Why do you care? If you want to go, go. I could give a shit less about the kids at these things.

So my manifestation of not paying for any festivals is working. I'll be standing next to Tweedle Dum this weekend.

The turnout wasnt that bad.. Better than I expected at least.

I thought the set was awesome, best of the night although Royksopp were close (even w/ some minor technical difficulties.)

I bought a ticket outside for $60 tonight.

Jamie Jones > Orbital > Gui Baratto > Digweed Royksopp.... Money well spent. I had a blast.

Oh and I caught the drumstick that flew into the crowd during Royksopp.

One of the best Insomniac events I have been to in a long time. The place never felt that crowded which was a huge plus. Orbital was worth the price of admission. Sooo good.

royksopp was one of the best sets i've seen all year. wasn't expecting that to go off nearly as well as it did (will upload a 12:00 video and post later). and orbital was sort of lackluster given the environment and crowd and the fact that the coachella set a few years back was one of the more magical hours of my life.

i also really didn't like how they opened with halcyon + heaven mashup. for those who weren't familiar with them it probably seemed cheesy and not indicative of how the rest of the set was gonna go. when they play that towards the end they already have the crowd by the balls, so it goes off a lot better. just my two cents.

I found the art car (the 2nd night) played some much better music (and was louder) than the main stage at times.

Art car on Friday however...whoever the fuck was the last DJ was so bad I was yelling at him to stop fucking up his own set.

any truth that the volume was turned down at some of the stages due to noise complaints from surrounding neighborhoods

The main stage tent had complaints from surrounding neighbors...when it was in the middle? I doubt that.

    Maybe the bigger tents.

    But not the enclosed stuff.

    Digweed was insanely loud.

    Everyone else was perfect.
