I'm surprised that no one has written on Hendrix, Clapton, the Allman Brothers, Winwood, SRV, Van Halen, AC/DC, etc., etc. I'd be interesting to read a non Rolling Stone-ifed take on some of the classic guitar gods.

I can do the Police and U2 if anyone is interested.

Maybe I'll do Carl Craig one of these days. It'd be fun to immerse myself in his music for awhile.

Could someone do Low? I've had Things We Lost in The Fire forever... And just got their Christmas album. Wouldn't have to be very detailed.

Also, here is the post if anyone wanted to lookup what has been done already:

I think Lee already did Theivery Corp, but I may be mistaken.

What are some other acts that haven't been done? I can't think of too many. F'Lips?

HA Fela Kuti would be a chore. Dude was so prolific.

Same with John Zorn.... I can't imagine listening to all of Zorn's music.

I do have the Fela Complete works though...

Sun Ra. That would be a task for someone. I would love to read that. Only have like 5 releases.

I might do one on Liz Phair, the only album I haven't listened to is Funstyle.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.

Would anyone with the knowledge be willing to do a write-up for any krautrock band not called Can?

I could do early Faust, and I could do Kraftwerk (didn't I do Kraftwerk)? NEU! don't have enough releases, but if I included La! Dusseldorf and Michael Rother's solo work I could probably do them as well.

Yeah, you did Kraftwerk, overlooked that one.

What about just a general all encompassing Michael Rother write-up with all those you mentioned?

Coincidentally enough, I'm listening to Neu! 75 for the first time right now, really great so far.

La! Dusseldorf actually is Klaus Dinger's post NEU! band that he did. They had two really good synthy krauty releases.

Are there any artists on this year's lineup deserving of a write-up? Like, say, Madness or James or Squeeze? I could do the latter two, but I'll probably only feel motivated if there's interest.

Definitely interested in the latter two. Between them I only know that Laid song, haha.

I can do fIREHOSE, the Black Keys and ATDI. I can also do Black Flag to cover Greg Ginn's early work.

I think I started Faust at one time, but like so much in life, never followed through. Maybe . . . maybe . . . but don't get your hopes up.

    *bump*

Spiritualized definitely have a stellar catalog, front to back. My small gripe is that on some of their non-LAGWAFIS albums, it just sounds like they're rewriting the same songs. There are at least two other songs in their repertoire that sound nearly identical to Electricity. To me, anyway. It's that way with a few other LAGWAFIS songs, too.

I'd like to politely ask if someone (possibly bmack?) could do the Elephant 6 bands that haven't been covered. From what I can tell at a glance, only Elf Power has been done. OTC and CS have pretty brief discographies, but the rest, especially Of Montreal, would be much to my liking.
