The new album is outstanding. He did well with Damian Marley in 2011, but him with a backing band playing his solo work would be awesome. I think this should happen.

I was just thinking about this today as one likely candidate for a Coachella appearance that has barely been mentioned. Support, especially since their late start in 2011 meant that a lot of Nas songs (Got Yourself a Gun, Hate Me Now, etc) got dropped off the setlist last minute.

I've seen him twice. Once in Tucson years ago and he was garbage. But he was awesome with Damian Marley in 2011.

I had memories of him being phenomenal with Damian, but then I watched the webcast rip of One Mic and he skips every other line. Whatever, still support.

Plus his new album is phenomenal.

Live band w/ Coachella speakers would be a whole different Nas experience.

I'd be down for Naschella. Favorite rapper ever. RTB 2011 he performed Illmatic in it's entirety. That would be the best coachella hip hop set ever.

He's hit or miss. I think a band would help with his inconsistent stage presence. He was really good live with Damian Marley, which was surprising to me because of his previous history as a performer.

This. I'd love more 90's hip hop. De La Soul would be a solid sub-headliner, even a Pete Rock and CL Smooth appearance would be fun.
