Didn't notice a difference, I thought 2010 was way better than 2012, especially crowd wise (particularly the Sahara)

you didn't notice how there were around 20,000 or so less people in 2011 and 2012?

Maybe if you hadn't spent 95% of the weekend in the Sahara...

Sahara had Orbital and Plastikman that year and the tent was half full, even with 20,000 sneak-ins.

The tent was pretty crowded during Infected Mushroom. And as soon as they were done, nearly 2/3 of the crowd left, and Orbital and Plastikman played for some very small crowds.

i think part of that had to do with the lighting issues during plastikman. and i thought orbital was in mojave or gobi? 7 coachellas, can never remember which is which.

nah Orbital played from like 9-10 in the Sahara, and then Plastikman did 1030-1130. The only light production used in Richie's set was the cage that went around him from what I recall.

ok cool, i definitely didn't care to watch orbital so i'm not the expert

as far as the lights for plastikman, i thought that it was because his lighting guy was stranded because of the volcano's i thought.

you're right, Ivy, that's why the other lights weren't used. it was just that cage.

    and it was so awesome.

Dude sounds like Ice Cube and we all know that Ice Cube is a Boss. What are the chances that Killer Mike's shows are as hyped as Cube's? Cube has to be one of the best, live hip-hop, shows that I've seen. On first listen, I'll give this album a 7/10. I need to get this on a legit system before I can give my official rating. The stand out tracks are, "Big Beast", "Go!", "Regean", and "RAP Music". I need to dl the album so that I can bump this shit in my truck, bro. Supre, or anyone, have you given it a spin yet?

I assumed that Pulp would do two sets in the theater and everyone gets into one, but I just read that the theater capacity is 1115, and there will be over 2800 passengers. Hmmm.

has Killer Mike always been this popular? I feel like I've seen his name alot lately.

I remember listening to "Akshon (yeah!)" alot about 8 years ago, I was addicted to that song for a while.

Naw, he's really blowin' up with the new one. I saw him recently and he was pretty damn good. He definitely goes hard, and he gets really emotional onstage. El-P probably has the better show though.

I fucking loved that album, listened to that a ton when it came out! Especially that song, my buddy had two 15s in the back of a rusted up 79 Caddy that would leave an outline of the car if he played it in a parked spot.

It's been there from the beginning.. the weak Britpop headliners Friday; the rumors that DP was gonna play, that it was a done deal, then all of a sudden 'oops, no, not gonna happen'; and now the new album. It's all so obvious.

BRUTAL Line-Up! As others have said...I am sooooooo over Coachella and their consistent money grab. The best part will be PULP singing "Common People"

hahaha nice. I remember being into that song and "Rap is Dead". Killer Mike actually played on Chappelle's Show back when it was on, he did Akshon and that was my first introduction.

He did AKshon at the show I saw, and his verse from The Whole World by Outkast, as well as a few older things I didn't recognize. But he also did almost every song off R.A.P. Music.

Yea it was pretty obvious Nick. 2010 was fucking madness, and not just the traffic on Friday. Walking from stage to stage was a nightmare, more crowded than any other festival I've ever been to.

Anyone know whether GV is planning to add to the lineup? I'm hoping for some heavier rock or more hip hop, but really just looking for more diversity.

I already loved the cruise idea (and much of the lineup), but all the fucking whining about it is making me want to go even more.
