    Getting my ass kicked by a bout of insomnia this weekend, I ran across Mr. Ed on cable. It was way before my time, but I used to watch it every night as a kid on Nick at Nite.

    You know, but that's valid because if we are all gonna die anyway shouldn't we be enjoying ourselves now? You know, I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor insignificant preamble to something else.

    Oh yeah, I used to watch Mr. Ed all the time, late night, as a kid. I thought about including that one for Tom.

    I was suprised to come across it. I didn't think they still showed it. I wonder if they show the Donna Reed show also.

    Old school Spiderman is hilarious too. And Wonder Woman. I remember watching an episode of Wonder Woman where she's chasing a guy that's getting away, running along a beach - and she throws a surfboard at him that lands in front of him.. and that's what stops him long enough for her to catch him. As if he couldn't run around the surfboard. Classic.

    Nick at Nite with Mr. Ed, I Love Lucy and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Hitchcock always kind of creeped me out as a kid.

    What's Happening
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

    Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
