and i get the liability concerns. it's just silly that i could probably get prescription pills more easily on the black market than from my doctor and i have a legitimate medical concern that drives an alarming number of people to suicide. and that none of my doctors would ever prescribe medical marijuana because of federal laws.

If you guys need MDs to prescribe you whatever, come to Utah: the state with the highest rate of prescription drug abuse in the nation, and home to tons of docs perfectly willing to write people multiple prescriptions. Alcohol: bad. Street drugs: really bad. Rx drugs: awesome. Our prohibitionist-curious Legislature and non-imbibing (and largely religious) public has until very recently had no problem whatsoever with stuff like this.

The responses in this thread are kind of alarming. Why would you potentially compromise your health because you're worried about what the doctor might think of you?

I don't give two shits about what my doctor thinks, it's insurance companies everyone should be terrified of. I used to smoke cigarettes and at one point I had my doctor write me a prescription for Chantix in a an attempt to get some help quitting. It didn't take and I ended quitting cold turkey a year later. Wish I would have just done that to begin with because when I was recently applying for health insurance Blue Cross was able to see that I was prescribed Chantix and obviously smoked at one time, thus raising my rate.

Share everything! If you don't give them all the info, they may give you something that reacts with your recreational or medical needs. You don't want to the problems of a reaction. It sucks. I know.
