    Default Resident passes

I know this past year they were still selling resident wristbands pretty much right up until the festival. I did not get one as I already had my pass, but I probably will go that route this year since I missed pre sale When do the resident bands normally go up for sale and is there a payment plan option? Also - the sell out possibility! Am I going to have to jump in the hour or so after they come up or what?

So far there has been no news if Goldenvoice is doing that again for 2013.. but last year went like this,

Resident's (locals-only) passes went on sale in January. Only residents east of Washington St. could get them (La Quinta, Indio, Coachella, Thermal) No payment plan option. You had to wait in line at the Indio fairgrounds to buy a pass. You then waited to pick up the wristband at will call a few days before the fest at the tennis gardens. They had about 1,000 wristbands for each weekend and didn't sell out

I really hope they do it again though. I missed the pre-sale as well and am probably not even gonna bother when the rest go online in January, so yeah I'm counting on this to happen again as well haha.

Are the priced as the regular tickets?
That's interesting that they don't sell out. At only 1000 available, you'd think it would.

    Yeah, $320 including fees.

I thought they would for sure as well. The sale was for 10 hours I think, from like 8 AM to 6 PM, or until they sold out. They never did, and even released like another couple hundred for Weekend 2 on that Friday of the fest early in the morning. That's how I got my Weekend 2 pass

It didn't sell out cause most people in the valley want to get in for free.

Because they think they're entitled to it because they live there. That doesn't mean they actually do get in for free.

This right here. It's been this way since 99. Everyone down here has a way to get in for free, then most don't.
