nay because he's going on a massive tour right now and i'm sure you can catch him in an area near you.
also, not sure if its for all shows but i know DJ Shadow is opening for him at some
Just to add more fuel to the conversation, I'd also love to see bassnectar and ruskoany time slots pleaseee and I know Zeds Dead just played but they always get me moving and its much better than afrojack as a repeat
and im seeing DJ shadow soon in SF because I missed him at chella, but thanks for the info guess ill try to find a show nearbystill think hed be a better set than guetta or kaskade in the sahara..
im just hoping for more rare acts in the sahara, i think him and bassnectar would both be good but they're around all the time so i wouldnt be bummed if they're not. ill take them over guetta or kaskade though

shadow is also opening for him at his show in SF if you want presales you can get them through PL site
Yeah he's doing a massive US tour this fall but I'd still love to see him on the Coachella bill. Way different set than anything that's been in the Sahara the last 2 years. His sound is original, groove oriented, and extremely danceable. It really seems like the only reason to hate on PL is that he's popular, and that's not a very good reason if you ask me. But that may upset half the board users
I'm all for PL playing next year. Very original, soulful, electronic sound but with a good enough groove to keep you dancing. I'd love for him to play in the Mojave.
Also going to the LA show of his tour w/ DJ Shadow and MartyParty. Really looking forward to this one!
He was terrible at Sasquatch this year. How about some new blood?

How was he terrible at Sasquatch? If you don't like his tracks, that's one thing, but it's not like he made a bunch of mistakes or anything. I saw the same set and thought it was fine and about what I expected. I am not a big fan of his music but the performance was fine.
He didn't make any mistakes? Regardless, I've seen him put on way better sets. Criticizing someone's performance doesn't mean you don't like their music.

Then track selection maybe? Idk I've only seen him twice and he killed it both times.

^^^^ YES! Arguably my favorite Sassy act ever! Bring Booka Shade!!!
Edit: Also I didnt think PL was terrible at Sasquatch, but i didnt think he was great. The drummer adds a lot to his live perfomance. I just wish he would play more of his downtempo music during his live sets.
If Coachella books 'cheese' acts, I rather see Pretty Lights on the bill instead of Aviici, or Sebastian whateverhisnameis, etc
id be cool if coachella didnt have a curfew and they could do a morning/ sunrise set
also what neighborhood creep said
Goldenvoice just posted about his tour 3 days ago on tumbler, id say he's got a good chance of being on the lineup next year.
Mojave closer now?

Clams Casino or Joker needs to be on the line up
A friend of mine who went to sasquatch said his set wasnt very good either. Keep in mind he is a pretty lights fan and was excited he was going to see him. Hes coming to my town in a couple weeks and i'll also be seeing him at shambhala so I guess i'll find out for my self. Would be pretty sweet to see him at coachella any where but the sahara.. probably my least favourite tent.. coming from a big edm fan. Terrible vibes and terrible djs for the most part.
I'm a fan of pretty lights, and i have to agree with a lot of what's said on here. He should never have ditched his live drummer. He was fun at edc (and from what i've heard from friends, sasquatch as well) but from what i've seen his sets are much better when he's doing his own show and can play for 2+ hours, rather than being crammed into a 50 minute time slot. I would welcome him at the sahara in 2013 because lets face it, he'd be taking the place of some shitty flavor of the week dj, and even 1 less of those would be a good thing
And if you think he is just a shitty flavor of the week dj, check out the hourly radio shows he puts out on his soundcloud every week. And consider the fact that he puts out all his music for free.
