Animal Collective came on at 2am on the main stage last time they played.
Friday schedule out. The Knife at 3am. And Blur at 1:30, hmmmmmm
Kinda surprised that Blur are basically getting the same amount of time there that they had at Coachella.
Blur, Glass Candy, Goat at the same time? Fucking hell.
Might as well not even attempt to watch Blur since one would have to leave early to get to The Knife on time, especially if they want a good spot.
10/16 Massive Attack @ Greek Theater (?), 10/18 Culture Collide, 10/26 Asobi Seksu & Slowdive @ Royale, 11/7 Warpaint @ Echoplex, 11/12 Blonde Redhead @ Fonda
ps Get there early for the Knife to grab this...
During the Shaking The Habitual Show we will sell publications made by the people we love and learn from. Their work on intersectional, feminist, anti-racist, anti-capitalist strategies has inspired us to keep fighting for what we believe in....
Well it looks like Blur is closing out their stage. Who says they are going to stop when The Knife comes on?
Not sure of stage proximity this year at all. Some of the names seem to have been swapped around. Obviously the Heineken one is the main, but they had one last year at the opposite end of the site that was just as big.
So the new big stage from last year is now hosting all the headliners. Nice. ATP has moved to a position that should clear up all soundbleed it normally throws towards the Ray-Ban one. That was the site of the 2nd food court last year.
when does Daft Punk come on?
the bands starting so late is a fucking nightmare, for me at least
i want my beauty sleep, and i want to explore barcelona in the morning/early afternoon
Saturday times starting to pop up!
Coachellabound 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 Fuck I'm Old Now.
Swans have been moved to go on at the same time as Blur. And Glass Candy. And Goat. Yeah.
At least the sun is out. If he was schedule at 2am or something I would worry about him making it.
I'm pretty happy with set times overall.
I would check out guadalupe plata if I was going .They are a spanish swampy blue act.To my knowledge they have played in the states for SXSW in 2012
Strange enough I would almost ditch the Knife to see Titus Androcious especially if Primavera stage was packed. I have been really craving to see another set by Patrick Stickles.
Primavera newbie question...
This is going to be my first trip to Spain. What is the marijuana etiquette there? Is it safe or worth it to buy from a local?
I'm a daily user/card holder here in California. I won't mind just smoking out with random festival attendees and I don't really "need" to have access to weed 24/7, but it would be nice and convenient to have my own little stash for the trip and when I'm back at the apartment.
I'm going with my girl, and she's not a big drug user anymore so I'm not going to even bother looking for other stuff like MDMA or whatever being in a foreign country and all. I've watched too many Locked Up Abroad episodes for that anxiety.
There are guys walking around the site selling hash and shitty coke and MDMA. They will find you. Or you can find them outside the gates or on las ramblas selling water and beer. Good luck finding anything else, though.
I see. And security isn't an issue there?
You need to find some dope Barca locals to show you the ropes is what you need. My friend who lived in Barca all last year said there are practically shops/cafes/private-clubs around the city that sell weed and allow you to smoke there.
When I went to Barca after I graduated high school, my friends and I fucked up and bought some shitty hash within 5 minutes of being there. Soooo, it's easy to find shit; probably a bit harder to find the good.
I did find some incredible acid/DOB/RC/I don't know what the fuck it was in this club Moog near Las Ramblas though. WILD TIMES
