If anyone was interested, I made a simple alphabetical lineup to show overlaps between Primavera and Coachella.
Google Doc Link: Coachella vs Primavera 2013
I like having a printed version with me for quick reference during the time leading up to the festivals while in the car or whatever. But that’s me. I tend to forget who’s playing where sometimes.
The full festival tickets for Primavera Sound in Barcelona have sold out. Day tickets for Thursday 23rd, Friday 24th and Saturday 25th May in Parc del Fòrum are still available at the price of 80€.
Apart from the main programme, Wednesday 22nd May will be the opening day with several free concerts on one of the stages of the Parc del Fòrum itself and also, Primavera a la Ciutat will offer other free activities in different spaces around the city, its programme will be announced over the next few weeks.
Is this the first time full festival pass tickets have sold out this quickly?

this is still worth it lol
so my plans have changed such that I can now consider primavera barcelona. I was just too late for those extra all-festival passes released today though.
quick poll - do you think it is worth waiting to find a festival pass second hand, or just buy individual day tickets? there's only really one person on wednesday and one on sunday I want to see, so I wouldn't be bothered about missing those days. it would be cheaper to find a festival pass though.
The actual festival dates are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Wednesday and Sunday shows are offsite pre and post shows. Shows in the park and around town on Wednesday are early in the days, the day of the fest are free to the public. Show on Wednesday and Sunday in clubs are for people with festival passes, but lest year the lines to get in looked longer than the capacity for the club would even be so we skipped them.
Festival passes are nontransferable, so I am not sure if this is even possible. I know that IDs are required for pickup, but I can't remember if we had to have all of our names on the order, so maybe you could arrange to meet someone who has an extra pass to sell at the event.

I'm wondering whether I could fly back to the US that sunday, given I would not be attending festival events. this thing goes all night, or close to it, right? I am trying to decide whether festival all night then head straight to the airport is a good idea or a terrible idea.
They program until about 6am Thursday-Saturday. I never stayed THAT late, but I got back to the condo around 4am on Saturday night. You many want to sleep in on Sunday.

Escenario 1 is the new main stage and will be called Heineken; formerly known as Mini and Llevant. Escenario 2 is the former main stage and will be called Primavera Sound. Neither stage will clash. The vice stage is being moved to near the Heineken. I'm assuming that the Ray-Ban stage will run when the Primavera Stage isn't, same with Vice and Heineken. In any case, be sure to leave Blur early to make it on time for The Knife because it's a 15 minute walk from stage to stage without post-performance bottlenecking.
Fuck I wish I was going to this
The Jesus and Mary Chain> Blur would be fantastic
Times for Thursday are up:

Or in a convenient format:

As usual, the ATP stage is good enough to stay at the entire time (though there are of course still plenty of conflicts)
EDIT: Also, crazy that Animal Collective is at 3am

How do you know set lengths? Estimates? Or is that info listed somewhere...
Coachellabound 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 Fuck I'm Old Now.
They never announce end times, so those are estimates. Seem about right, give or take 15 minutes. The weird thing is that Do Make Say Think and Bob Mould are scheduled too close together. The clashfinder has 5 minutes of downtime between them, which can't be right, so either Do Make Say Think is doing a very short set or the ATP stage times are messed up.
There's a big gap on the pitchfork stage, too.
Why is it crazy animal collective is at 3am. Seems normal to me.
Well, my only experience is from last year and they didn't have acts that large playing that late. it was almost all edm/DJ stuff that started at 3am or later too.
