Hotel? Cheaper to hire an appt. Much cheaper (like 10 euros per night per person cheap).

WTF? Serious? How do we do this? I have the hotel for a week and will be paying around $440 for the duration. Its the Sheraton in Porto.

    Well, that sounds more encouraging.

Let the 33 letter combos begin.

Marco, I used Rentalia to get my crash pad last time. 40 Euro a night for a flat for 4 people (with a pool)

Blur, My Bloody Valentine, Leonard Cohen?

My Bloody Valentine has two women, though. Hmm.

Didn't it say there would be one or zero women in the headliners? I imagine Bjork will make up for last year.

Yep, so I guess that excludes My Bloody Valentine and reunions of Lush or the Spice Girls.

    David Byrne & St Vincent?

Headlining? No thanks. This is probably the only fest where I actually watch and like all the headliners.

That would be a better headliner than Franz Ferdinand or Justice. Probably would play the slot on the main before the headliner, though. Not that it will happen.

Blur + Bjork leaves 24 characters remaining. Maybe he's considering more than three acts to be headliners? If so, then Bjork + Blur + Daft Punk + Sigur Ros + ?, perhaps?

What does that say exactly? There's a female member for one of the headliners? Maybe Sonic Youth?! Portishead, The White Stripes, PJ Harvey...

ps My Bloody Valentine will be in Japan so I don't think they'll play...

05/26-27 - Tokyo, JP @ Tokyo Rocks Music Festival

    7/29 Conor Oberst @ Summerstage
    8/2 Daniele Baldelli/Simian Mobile Disco @ PS1
    8/2 Magda @ Output
8/3 Seth Troxler/the Martinez Brothers @ Gov Island

Main fest Thu-Sat, but stuff on Wed and Sun that is open to all at a different site, plus label showcases in the week running up to the festival (all free if you have a festival ticket).

The Flaming Lips are in London for 2 dates on the Mon and Tue before the Barca fest. I'd expect to see them on the lineup.

So who gets The Knife: Sonar or Primavera or neither?

I can't imagine Nick Cave not being there.

The sourcing is months old btw. Theyre taking that from a fb post somebody who "claimed" to have "inside" info. So yeah, dont trust a 5th rate blog for this kinda stuff.

Really excited for Deerhof, as it's a rare appearance by Deerhoof with David Hassllehoff on lead vocals.
