TORONTO - (AP) -- Toronto paramedics say one person is dead and another is seriously hurt after a stage collapsed while setting up for a Radiohead concert.
They say two other people were injured and are being assessed.
Some at Downsview Park ahead of the show are saying on Twitter that the area has been cleared by emergency crews.
The venue said on its website that the concert has been canceled.
don't think it was a fan, i think it was crew, and wasn't this in the daytime before the concert was to begin?
That looks like the flimsiest stage set up ever.
Holy Shit

Kinda bad taste to have this as a thread...
I was supposed to be getting there riiiiight....
now.
my friend ciara was there and took this:

that was a very close call for you - i mean, having to endure a Radiohead concert
yeah, it's actually pretty fucked up over here right now. if it had happened during or even right before or after the show, I can't imagine the scene.
45,000 people out at a public park...
everyone would have been trampled, and right now I'm in shock, I was literally walking out my front door and ciara texted me that photo
There's not even bad weather to blame for this one. What happened?
^exactly. as bad as this was, it could have been SO MUCH worse just 90 minutes later
my condolences to my adorable girlfriend who was going to get to see them for the first time outdoors on a perfect evening.
as an emergency b-plan we're grabbing a bottle of wine and heading down to yonge/dundas to see either the flaming lips, or the gigantic crowd of disappointed radiohead fans dejectedly crowding the square.
People are awful.
