I agree but the Gobi is now the size of the og Mojave and some big acts have started to play in it (Frank Ocean last year)

Yeah I keep shuffling things around and it makes shit uneven. I try to add/play with whatever one or two pieces of good speculation I can find out of the mess that is the rumors thread each day. Also, recently have been trying the idea of two headliners.

I'd say having Eminem and No Doubt would be too top heavy. I don't think Crystal Castles would go back in the Sahara after playing the Outdoor. Swans would play at night, Alt-J is a couple hours too early, I don't see Deerhunter playing the main, and Janelle Monae/D'Angelo shouldn't conflict. If you can't find more appropriate slots to swap them into, that's when it's time to consider switching out acts.

That line-up would give me set time nightmares, but I would be very happy if the actual line-up was close to that. Of course, I'd be a lot happier if Blur was involved.

I think the Polyphonic Spree might be higher than the bottom line. Not too high, but not at the bottom, I think.

Fantastic lineup! What about Rammstein headlining Friday with Phoenix subbing tho? I dunno if Phoenix would headline (tho it would be cool...)
Also the inevitable Rolling Stones / Knife conflict would kill me...

I actually had a nightmare last night that The Rolling Stones and The Knife were both playing but on the same day... I think they would inevitably conflict as The Knife would probably get a similar timeslot to what Fever Ray had in 2010, they need to be in a tent to provide the correct ambience and The Sahara is just too bro-tastic for them to be there so they would close the Mojave and would probably be given an open-ended timeslot with empty space after them just in case they started late, as I have heard Karin is against playing festivals if she is going to be squashed into a defined timeslot which is why Fever Ray was given that scheduling in 2010...

As these are two bands that I have been waiting for the chance to see live for many many years now, in the dream I came to the realization that this would force me to buy tickets for the 2nd weekend as well and do both again... The nightmare turned into a beautiful dream.. :-P
